Specialized Recalls More Than 12,000 Bicycles
With more and more people riding bikes – not only for pleasure, but also for exercise and transportation – manufacturers are meeting the demand with more and better bikes. Unfortunately, now and then some bikes enter commerce that have problems.
Recently, the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled more that 12,000 bikes manufactured by a major company, Specialized. The bikes apparently are fitted with defective steering tubes, which can fracture, causing serious crashes. The models subject to the recall are Tarmac SL4, Crux, and Secteur models sold between July 2011 and January 2013.
Do you own one of these bikes or no someone that does? Please inform them of this important recall. And, as always, if you, a friend, neighbor, or relative has been injured as a result of a defect in a bicycle – especially one of the above models – contact Barrow Law Firm for a consultation.
